Jim was born and raised in Berks County, in West Lawn outside of Reading. From a very young age, Jim knew he was destined to become a chef. At five years old, Jim could be found standing on a chair pulled over to the stove making eggs for breakfast. He entered the culinary program in high school, and was quickly the head of his class. At 16, he was running a kitchen himself at a local restaurant. From fine dining to a casual bistro setting, his culinary skills were diverse. However, it was in the pizza business where he hit his stride, owning several shops in Reading. After trying his hand at sales for a few years, it wasn't long before the kitchen started calling his name again... and he planted a bug in his wife Gracie's ear to open their own place.
